Hamer Studio Custom on the way…

Hamers are incredible guitars. I had a blue Hamer Studio several years ago – recorded a few songs with it. I did a multi-guitar trade with a local collector a few years ago and missed that guitar ever since.

When this Hamer Studio Custom, bound and crowned, with a larger Brazilian Rosewood neck came up, it was hard to resist.

Gibson 50 Year Commemorative Explorer Guitar of the Month

Gibson 50 Year Commemorative Explorer

I’m trying to reduce duplication in my collection, and the number of guitars, since they take up so much room! Then…someone mentioned to me there’s one guitar I don’t have in the collection – an explorer. So, I asked myself what I wanted in an explorer. I’ve been leaning towards thicker necks, and I like the way block inlays look, and I wanted nitro finish with a cool color. After some research, this guitar fit the bill. So, it’s on its way 🙂 It was a 2008 Gibson Guitar of the Month, in near perfect shape, and has the original case and paperwork. If only the UPS man would arrive lol
