It’s on the way! This guitar is featured on the Hamer website in the design gallery. The only one in the world, a NAMM guitar. The seller was awesome, and the guys on the Hamer forum super helpful. Thanks everyone! Here is the description from Hamer:

Designer’s note:

“For the NAMM show we wanted to showcase our guitars/customshop capabilities on a few of our classic models. Once again, little details that might not get noticed at first are what make this guitar special. Like the downsized rubber skid plate inlaid on the edge and the matching tortoise truss rod cover.”

“The Ivoroid binding looks so perfect against the korina. The reduced width of the guitar’s side called for a guitars/customshop fabricated narrow rubber “grip” strip.”

“Six-ply hand stacked cellulose binding is painstakingly miter jointed on the body. Notice how clean the corners of the fingerboard binding is where the individual strips meet at the mitered corners. The tortoise pickguard lends another vintage touch to a wonderfully appointed masterpiece.”

“The classic peghead shape is outlined with multi-ply binding and inlaid with a genuine pearl logo, and is underlined with a fossilized ivory string nut. The tortoise truss rod cover echoes the pickguard to tie the entire piece together visually.

Fender JV ST57-115

1982 Fender JV ST57-115 vintage Japanese stratocaster, $3,300.  $500 reduction, now only $2,800

Another guitar that is incredibly difficult to find, especially in this condition and all original. She came from a collector in Japan.

The Fender JV ST57 115 is the flagship vintage Fender JV guitar.  This one is a first issue JV strat, meaning its the most collectible and sought-after. She’s in magnificent condition, has an alder body and nitrocellulose (nitro) lacquer finish.
Only the top of the line 115 models used original
USA Fender parts: Sprague orange cap, CTS pots, steel trem block, Fender USA made alnico pickups, 3 way CRL switch, electronics, hardware, and pickguard.
Many consider this guitar to be the best strat ever made (and closest to the vintage specs). In my experience, only a Tokai ST-100 or some of Fender’s Custom Shop guitars are comparable.

Just an amazing all-around strat. I have several, and need to reduce duplication in the collection. Until you’ve played one of these, you have no idea what a stratocaster should play and sound like.

To give you an example of how great this guitar is (better than the American version), here is a documented quote from the head of Fender Marketing when they toured the Japanese Fender factory:

Dan Smith, Director of Marketing, Fender Electric Guitars : “Everybody came up to inspect them and the guys almost cried, because the Japanese  product was so good – it was what we had been having a hell of a time trying to do.”

1964 Fender Jazzmaster

1964 Fender Jazzmaster, all original SOLD to Magne in Norway.

This vintage Fender Jazzmaster guitar came from a NYC area dealer, Kevin B, who is also a columnist at Premiere Guitar magazine. Its all original, and oh so cool! Comes with case and original strap as well!

Unlike most guitars from the 60s, the frets on this one are in great shape and the playability is terrific!

Tokai LS120 Reborn Old 1980

1980-1982 were the golden years for the Japanese brands like Tokai, Greco, etc, also referred to as “pre-lawsuit”. Love Rocks are easier to find than a Reborn Old, so this is a particularly rare bird. The Tokai Reborn Old was only produced for 6 months in the first half of 1980. It features a one piece back,
fret edge binding, nitro cellulose (nitro) lacquer finish, and Brazilian rosewood fretboard.

This guitar came from Villager, one of the best known vintage Japanese guitar dealers. It cost me about $3525 to get it here.

Another incredible guitar, it would never be sold but I have some LS200s, so I need to reduce duplication in my collection. She had a sister, which Jeff from the MyLesPaul forum is now the happy owner of.

Greco EGF-1200

Super rare 1982 Greco EGF-1200 Super Real

These guitars are very hard to find, and are considered one of the best guitars ever made. The pickups are the fabled Greco Dry-Z (Dryz) pickups, which by themselves sell for $600, if you can find a set.

This guitar rocks! I love the feel of the chunky neck, the DryZ pickups are incredible, it sounds amazing, and sustains for days. I’d have kept it forever, but I have some EGF-1800s and need to remove duplication from my collection.
